About Us

Huadian Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. (“HHI”) is a joint stock company established through restructuring on the basis of the integration and reorganization of relevant excellent assets of China Huadian Engineering Co., Ltd (CHEC) and the introduction of such strategic investors as CITIC Private Equity Funds. Founded in December 2008, the Company  with a registered capital of 770  million yuan, was successfully listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange on December 11, 2014 (abbreviation of stock: HHI; ticker symbol: 601226).HHI is the core business sector and future platform of capital operation by China Huadian Engineering Co., Ltd. and the key part of the engineering technology sector of China Huadian Corporation (CHD).

With the engineering system design and EPC as the principal business and the R&D and manufacturing of core products and relevant high-end products and investment operations as the support, HHI is committed to providing the clients with integrated solutions in terms of material handling engineering, thermal power engineering, industrial noise treatment engineering, clean & effective coal utilization engineering and offshore wind power engineering etc. The Company’s business encompasses such fields as electricity, coal, petrochemical, mining, metallurgy, port, water conservancy, building materials and urban construction both at home and abroad.


Material Handling Engineering

The Material Handling System Engineering provides the overall engineering solution by integrating the system R&D, design, equipment manufacturing and project management. It is mainly used for the EPC business of material handling engineering including the environmental-friendly bucket wheel stacker-reclaimer for circular yard system, port loading & unloading system, coal handling system at power plants, and semi-continuous mining system for open pit mines.

The main business is as follows:

■EPC business of bulk material handling system, including the engineering design, engineering management, equipment supply, construction, installation and commissioning etc.

■Design and manufacturing of large-scale handling equipments, including the stacker-reclaimer, ship unloader, ship loader, wagon tippler, and stacker-reclaimer for circular yard etc.

■Design and manufacturing of special belt conveyors, including the pipe conveyor, overland curve belt conveyor, large-scale belt conveyor, and steeply inclined downhill belt conveyor with the potential energy-feedback power generation technology etc.

■Semi-continuous stripping and spreading system for such green mining equipments as open pit mine, including the semi-fixed conveyor, travelling belt conveyor, elevating conveyor, spreader and belt conveyor.

At present, the Company has successfully delivered many EPC projects for material handling system in such sectors as port, power, metallurgy, mining, chemical, coal and building materials, and has amassed rich experience in engineering projects. The said business has witnessed relatively rapid development in the global market, with its tentacles of business spread to such countries and regions as India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Australia.

Steel Structure Engineering

The high-end steel structure engineering business includes the system design, technical R&D, product manufacturing, installation and engineering EPC services. The core products mainly encompass the wind power tower, industrial heavy equipment steel structure etc. It has raised the brand awareness to a certain degree in such fields as the power industry.

As one of the earliest Chinese enterprises for the steel structure design and manufacturing for power plants, the company uses the world-leading structure design and 3D detailed drawing design software and has the structure and detailed drawing design capability.

The company’s high-end steel structure business enjoys a relatively high reputation in such industries as power, petrochemical, architecture, port and hydropower, and its services scope covers the whole nation and even other countries in North America and Asia etc.

Thermal Engineering

The thermal power engineering refers to the EPC for the research, design, manufacturing, installation, commissioning and corresponding engineering for the pipeline engineering and air cooling system.

It is aimed at providing the clients with all-round services and solution.

The business scope encompasses such fields as thermal power, nuclear power, oil and chemical and coal chemical.

It boasts the product qualifications certificate with the embossed stamp of ASME for the design, manufacturing and installation of utility boiler, and the qualifications certificate issued by the Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine for the grades GD1, GD2, AND GC1(3) pressure pipelines.

Coal Utilization Engineering

Coal utilization engineering business is mainly engaged in R&D design and EPC business for the coal chemical engineering system such as 10-million-ton clean and effective coal recycled utilization,short-process oil production; HHI provides the overall solution for ecological chemical engineering.

Offshore Wind Power Engineering

The offshore wind power engineering business is chiefly engaged in the EPC of design, manufacturing and construction of the offshore wind power project, including the design optimization, manufacturing, transport and installation of wind turbine foundation for offshorewind power, as well as the installation of the turbine and substation, cable laying, and the operations and maintenance of wind farm etc. On the basis of the company’s Caofeidian processing base, it is committed to providing the owners with overall solution for the construction project of offshore wind farm.

At present, the company has signed the strategic cooperation agreement with such companies as RAMBOLL and DNV, and maintains close technical cooperation. The company owns the first Jack up vessel for offshore wind farm in China, and offers the construction and building scheme for many offshore wind farms in China (including Hong Kong and Taiwan), and completes the Technical Maintenance for DongHai bridge demonstrating offshore wind farm project.

Typical Experience

Material Handling Engineering

  1. Coal Handling System in Henan

Huadian Ningxia Lingwu 2×1000MW Power Plant Phase-II is the first ultra-supercritical coal-fired air cooling unit in China. HHI provided its coal handling system which is consisted of two 1000MW units as an EPC Contractor.

  1. Coal Handling System in Indonesia

The Company was in charge of the engineering, procurement and construction guidance for the coal handling system of 3# and 4# generating units at TJB power plant in Indonesia.
